The charms
Are your charms made in Italy?
No, and we'd rather tell you straight. "Italian charm" is the name of the style, which started in Italy. Our links are made overseas from stainless steel and enamel, then chosen, checked and hand-assembled in Melbourne by Jo.
What are they made of?
The links are stainless steel: polished for silver tone, gold-plated for gold tone. The pictures are enamel, and the sparkle charms are set with rhinestones or cubic zirconia. They're made for everyday wear, but they're not solid gold or sterling silver.
Will your charms fit my old Italian bracelet?
Our charms are classic 9mm links, the standard size for Italian charm bracelets, so they fit most of them. Brands vary a little, so if a link feels tight, bring the bracelet to a market and Jo will check the fit.
Why is there a horn on every bracelet?
That's your corno, the Italian lucky horn. Tradition says it works best as a gift, so every starter bracelet comes with one, free. Read the corno story.
Can I buy a corno for myself?
Of course. We'll pop in a card that says it's a gift from us, so the luck still counts.
Sizing
How do I know how many links I need?
Measure around your wrist just above the bone, then use the size guide. A standard bracelet is 18 links, and most adults take 17 to 20.
What if it doesn't fit?
Bring it to any market, or post it back, and Jo will add or remove links for free.
Are they suitable for kids?
For ages 8 and up. The links are small parts, so keep them away from younger children.
Orders, postage and returns
Can I order online?
The online checkout opens in December. Until then, build your bracelet or fill your bag and press "Send my order to Jo". She'll email you to arrange payment and either post it or have it ready at a market.
How much is postage?
A$6 Australia-wide, and free on orders over A$60. Orders go out within two business days, gift-boxed.
What if something is faulty?
If a charm or link is faulty, Jo will repair it, replace it or refund you. A faulty charm within 30 days is replaced free, no fuss.
Can I return something I've changed my mind about?
Unworn items in their box can be returned within 30 days for an exchange or refund. Personalised pieces and bomboniere can't be returned for a change of mind, but your rights for faulty items always apply.
Do you do gift wrapping?
Every order is gift-boxed with a card about the corno, at no extra cost. Add a gift message in the builder and Jo will write it on the card.
Parties and bomboniere
How do charm parties work?
Jo brings the charm bar to you: trays, tools and a mirror. Kids' parties (8+) are A$32 a guest, grown-up workshops A$89. See the party details.
How far ahead should I order bomboniere?
At least six weeks before your event, more for 150 or more. See the styles and prices.
